What is an artist adventurer? Everyone always asks . . .
The capacity to be an artist adventurer is in each one of us.
Becoming an artist adventurer has been a very personal journey for me over the past few years. It all began on a dark Georgia freeway nearly ten years ago. My life was very different and I certainly wasn’t living life on purpose. As I drove that early Christmas morning before sunrise, I dreamed of what I would like my life to be like. In an extended visualization lasting nearly three hours, the words “Anna, the Artist Adventurer” came to mind. Since that time, I have transformed into just that, Anna the Artist Adventurer. Sometimes it means I’m a drunken goofy jackass who is getting mixed up into some kind of mindful trouble. Sometimes I’m on a serious rant about the ways in which the mass populace has been taught by society to live their lives in a mindless waking sleep. I’m just here to stir the pot.
I can explain my philosophies and a bit about what I like to do as a description of an artist adventurer, but the bottom line is that it’s a fluid and changing thing.
I’m a writer/storyteller/photographer/traveler. I am a free thinker. I don’t own a television, but appreciate it at times and will on occasion invite myself over to your house to watch yours. I believe in living debt free. I like to pack a bag at a moment’s notice and jet off for parts unknown. I constantly find myself in the right place at the right time, witnessing beauty and magical moments all around me. I live quite on purpose, yet never know exactly what I might be doing when I wake up in the morning.
It’s my job to show – by example and through stories – that there is another way. We don’t have to fit into a mold that society tries to sell us. We can believe in magic, because we can indeed create it and give it an environment in which to thrive all around us.
How very cool!! I will bookmark this page and live vicariously through your adventures! You have always been an inspiration to me; a person that lives life to its fullest and never takes even the minutest things for granted. I love that about you and thank you for sharing your world with us!
